Alexis Lynn Landwehr Arrives!

I have my first Great Niece. Her name is Alexis Lynn Landwehr. Lexi for short. She was born Saturday, December 27th at 10:50 PM. She was seven pounds and three ounces. Twenty inches long. Her proud parents are my Nephew Ryan and his Wife Erin. She has a three year old brother named Skyler. My Brother Mike and Sister in Law Leta are tickled "PINK" to be Grandparents again. WELCOME TO LEXI!!!

Christmas 2008

We had a GREAT Christmas. The only thing missing were the two older boys.

Grandma Smith came from Colorado and Grandma Beverly came from Kansas. Santa was really good to the kids this year. But by far the time we got to spend together as a family was much more valuable than anything we received under the tree. We went to Eureka Springs and to the Square in Fayetteville. We even took both the Grandma's over to Siloam Springs Cherokee Casino for an afternoon. They both won a little bit. Shane and I supported the local economy since we lost!! But it was fun!!

When Sunday morning came and time for the Grandma's to head back--- the kids gave them each a big hug and kiss. One more great Christmas that came to an end--- but the value it was to our family can never be measured.

No school for the kiddos!

THE WEATHER OUTSIDE IS FRIGHTFUL, BUT MY KIDS ARE SO DELIGHTFUL

You talk about some happy kiddos today!! No school because of ice!
Ally has been hanging out playing babies and watching Max and Ruby.
Shawn and McKensi have been playing video games.
A quick peanut butter sandwich and then taking a rest by the fireplace.
Hot chocolate and movies, arguing, coloring, reading! The value of time with the children cannot be measured.
Only thing missing?? Dad--- He had to work!!
I hope school will be back in session tomorrow. It is great hanging out with the kiddos, but I did not get much done for the newspaper today!!
